Oceania Cruises’ claim to fame has always been The Finest Cuisine at SeaTM, and those who sail on her would fully agree. With Master Chef Jacques Pépin at the helm of its culinary program, Oceania guests can expect nothing but creative masterpieces at every meal.
The Grand Dining room’s sumptuous décor sets the mood with sparkling chandeliers, tables set with bone china, sparkling Riedel crystal, gleaming silverware, and fine linens. Its splendor is matched by European-inspired cuisine, from rich indulgences to healthy Canyon Ranch Spa Cuisine. Specialty dining is extraordinary onboard Oceania, with authentic Northern Italian cuisine at Toscana, classic steaks and seafood at Polo Grill, bold Asian specialties at Red Ginger, and exquisite French fare in a Parisian bistro named after the Master Chef himself – Jacques. Casual Terrace Café, Waves Grill, and Baristas specialty coffee shop round out the gastronomic journey.
For guests with discerning tastes, Oceania offers a seven-course wine pairing dinner with La Reserve by Wine Spectator, and a six-course champagne pairing dinner with the Dom Pérignon Experience. For special celebrations, a party of up to 10 guests may also reserve La Privée private dining room, adorned with a Dakota Jackson-designed dining table and a golden Venini chandelier.
Oceania further enhances its guests’ culinary experience through a series of Culinary Discovery Tours. Guests can participate in chef-led excursions that connect them to the local food scene, such as touring traditional markets, dining at renowned restaurants, and taking in cooking lessons by local chefs. And back onboard, guests can attend cooking demonstrations or even hone their skills in The Culinary Center.
In 2019, Oceania introduced an extensive plant-based menu onboard its fleet, with more than 200 new menu items. Plant-based dishes are available at all meals in The Grand Dining Room and the casual Terrace Café, as well as in all specialty restaurants at dinner.
“These new plant-based options are flavorful, colorful, bold, and creative. Our hallmark finest cuisine at sea now provides an innovative and appealing menu of choices that reflects our guests’ evolving palates and heightened focus on wellness while balancing our more decadent and extravagant dishes,” stated Bob Binder, President & CEO of Oceania Cruises.
