New North American Travel Documentation Requirements

1. By Air: As of January 23rd, 2007, all passengers travelling between the United States, Canada, Bermuda and Mexico by air are required to present a valid passport.
   
2. By Land or By Sea: Beginning in the summer of 2008, all passengers travelling between the United States, Canada, Bermuda and Mexico by land or by sea will be required to present a valid passport.

Other documentation may be acceptable, but only a legal passport will ensure your entry into a foreign country.

Obtaining and Maintaining Your Passport

Canadian Citizens

• Apply for a passport well before your departure date to allow time for processing and delivery
• Application forms can be obtained online (if 16 years or older), or in person from any Service Canada Centre or Canada Post Office
• If you meet the eligibility conditions, passports can now be renewed

• Apply for a passport well before your departure date to allow time for processing and delivery
• If you are a first time applicant, you must apply in person
