Air Canada Links Directly with CruiseShipCenters International to Simplify Bookings

Toronto, October 12th, 2006 - New technology is making it easier than ever for travel agents to access all of Air Canada’s product offering for their clients. CruiseShipCenters International Inc. is the first to implement a direct connection to Air Canada across CruiseShipCenters’ network of over 90 retail locations and 1500 people using an interactive link from CruiseDesk®, CruiseShipCenters’ proprietary Enterprise CRM system. The seamless connection between Air Canada’s Travel Agency Web Site and CruiseDesk®, lets travel consultants book air segments directly with the carrier. “CruiseDesk® already provides access to every cruise departure”, said Matthew Eichhorst, Chief Operating Officer of CruiseShipCenters. “Having one click access to the air content and schedule with a seamless log-in keeps us working more efficiently and in real-time.” Over the coming months, Air Canada plans other enhancements to expand its distribution capabilities and allow more direct access to its content. “Air Canada aims to be a leader in the use of technology to simplify the booking process while offering convenience and choice to the travel community.
