The best thing about the cruise was the ports (4/5) and the camaraderie with our dining partners. The most memorable thing about the ship was The Sanctuary. Where do I start? 1. No effort seems to have been made to enforce the NO SMIOKING in Staterooms policy. We had at least 2 staterooms beside us where passengers were smoking either in the Stateroom or on the balcony with the balcony door open, allowing smoke to pertmeate the halls and other staterooms. 2. Despite multiple requests to have the duvet and sheets changed in our stateroom, the same duvet with many holes was used for the entire 10 days. 3. The evening dining menu was quite unusual and limited in scope making it difficult to choose a main course or even an appetiizer that we could eat. One can only order Shrimp Coctails, Caeser salad and Grilled medallians of beef so many times. 4. The photography service has become more of a harrassing event that a genuine service. We recognize that we have the option of puchasing or not, but I believe Princess Cruises should consider lowering the prices on the photographs they offer. This would entice more people to buy and any revenue generated from the increased volume of sales would offset or even surpass the revenue for sales currently generated at higher prices. 5. Speaking of the photo program, I woulld like to suggest that Princess Cruises become a pioneer in using a series of monitors to view photos instead of printing them and disposing of hundreds of unwanted photos. Not to mention the wasted paper and ink used to generate these unwanted photos. In this digital age, there should be a relatively simple way to link a photo taken at any point in time, to the passenger's cruise card. Then the passenger can view, at any time during the cruise, those photos, and only those photos, that were linked to their cruise card and therefore one's that they would be interested in. This will save on space in the corridors where the racks of photos are currently displayed, will save on paper and printer ink, and will provided a modecum of privacy for passengers who's photo's will be viewed by them alone.

-beautiful common areas -very good wine list in the dining room -luxurious cabin, lovely balcony -mediocre food, but not surprising given the number of passengers

Enjoyed the cruise, although I could have been on longer :) We had a good experience on the ship as we always have had with Princess. The only room for improvement on this cruise would be more activities outside of the Kid Zone for young ones...I realize that it was a short one. Also perhaps crayons/coloring at dinner to pass some time. Smoking was an issue as there were passengers lighting up...I believe that smoking should not happen on cruises. One of the most memorable would be our waiter who was 'magical' as my daughter would say, he created an oragami bird for her that flapped it's wings so she thought that was a great trick and keepsake to take home and show everyone! Would defininately go again on another cruise...whether it be Princess or any others.

The food was the best. I felt the circulation inside the ship was unexistent, very hot all the time, even the stateroom was hot after turning the AC to cooler. Some areas had an intense sewage smell. In general was a great experience.

positive: - alternating days on land and at sea - food and entertainment: in particular the piano man TOM FRANEK - what a gem. His versatility and humour made every evening enjoyable. negative: - the flight back from Florida was stressful. Milk run with too many legs! I think we would rather book our own next time.

Island Princess is a beautiful ship. Balconies are large. The Panama canal cruise is amazing. Port activities were interesting. 30 C but high humidity. Staff were courteous and helpful. The food is varied and high quality. The many days at sea were filled with lectures, activities, exercise, and sunbathing. The only critique is lousy coffee in Horizon Court. I recommend buying a coffee card that allows you unlimited brewed coffee and 15 specialty coffees. This is not a kid-friendly ship.

This was by far our best cruise to date. We loved the attentive Princess Cruise staff, the dining experience and the unique ports of call. Our most memorable experiences was the tour to the Embera Indian Village in Panama. Throughout the voyage we experienced wonderful weather and of course this added to our enjoyment of the trip. We look forward to cruising with Princess Cruises again.

very enjoyable, staff were very good, awsome scenery. easy to get around, lots to see and do. shower stall was small and bar got in the way. excursions could use some organization, you are generally left to find out yourself, where to go. should not be charged for pop or juice drink, even coffee and tea only free at the buffet I would definately book again with Princess, overall a very good experience.

This is our third Princess Cruise, and while we noticed some things that had changed since our first (such as being almost hounded to purchase "extras", and having some staff who were very abrupt in their interactions), for the most part we were very pleased with our experience. One thing worth noting was that the passengers on this cruise were more senior than those we had cruised with before. By midnight, almost everyone had gone to bed and we usually ended up shutting down the bars and casino. We have a photo taken around 12:30 where we were the ONLY people in the atrium of the whole ship, except for the staff on the front desk! (We are in our mid-late 50's). Overall...we can hardly wait for our next excursion on Princess so we can "escape completely". Things to improve.....stop "hawking" promotions; offer a 3-tier (house, premium and ultimate) wine package instead of just one (quite expensive); bring back French Onion Soup as an alternative choice on the dining room dinner menu for 7-day cruises!!!

Our Alaska Cruise Experience The dining room staff Arturio DeJesus (our waiter) and Maria Mondragon(junior waitress) were a highlight in our trip. They were both very professional but made us feel special. Arturio is a talented musician who serenaded us with his guitar and treated us to magic tricks and funny jokes. Maria was a quiet, deligthful young lady who we were all ready to adopt. They could not seemingly do enough for us. Their part in our dining experience made this one of the most memorble things. They are wonderful embassadors for the Princess Line. Overall the cruise was fabulous and we have nothing but good comments. It was exceptionally well organized. The availability of laundry facilities was a definite bonus. If we have one suggestion for improvement it would be regarding room service. The earliest we could have breakfast, coffee etc delivered in the morning was 7:00 AM. We were frequently up and around by then and would have liked the opportunuity to have it earlier i.e. 600 A.M.

The service was excellent. Entertainment and food were also very good. The condition of the room could have been better - couch was stained and shabby. The tours were excellent and the organization (embarkation and disembarkation) were really good. We had a really good time.

You had some problems to read my comments, my wife had the same problem during all the cruise.

This was our first time to cruise with Princess although I have cruised with several other cruise lines. I was completely satisfied with everything on the ship and several areas actually exceeded expectations. We really enjoyed the walking deck located on the 7th floor. It was very easily accessable, covered, and somewhat protected against the wind while still maintainly the beauty and fresh air of the outside. Food and service were, of course, excellent. The entertainment was great and our stateroom was very nice, clean, and fresh. An overall quality experience.

Of course the scenery, breathtaking and so picturesque. The weather was excellent sunny & warm on the cruise, colder on land. There are a few memorable items but here are 3 of them: Klondike Summit, College Fjord and Glacier Bay. Our flight was way to long to Fairbanks, there are other options such as flying us to Vancouver and staying overnight and then catching the flight to Fairbanks. The disembarkation was a mess so we missed our flight. This was very upsetting and we hope we do not experience this if ever we go on a Princess Cruise again. Other than the flight and disembarkation the experience of seeing Alaska was a dream.

The production shows were very good. Princess is beginning to nickle and dime for services. Fresh squeezed orange juice is not free. The worst, almost comical thing was that during bingo games they no longer provide punch through bingo cards and they sell the ink markers for $1.50. One could use a ballpoint pen but?!? The overall feel of the ship was a little worn out and the linens and towels in the room were frayed. The waitstaff in the personal choice dining room gave poor service. We switched to set dining and had a wonderful waitress.

my family have planned this trip since november last year. and have request a dinning table for three of us on the cruise . but when we got there we had to share table with six other peoples . my wife was really upset.even when we went to the sevice desk and they check on the computer we did actually requested a table for three. and the next day we went back to the dinning room and spoke to one of the person in charge of the dinning room. she said there is not thing they can do . but i was wondering why do they put out this preferred dinner for.if i can't get what i request for . we end up going to another resturant call The Bayou where you have to pay 15.00 cover charge but i really enjoy it . we end up eating there for two nights. compare to the cruise we went on last year the NCL . i think i'll never go back with princess cruiseline again.

The train ride from Denali to Whittier is very slow and long but otherwise, the trip exceeded all our expectations. The weather couldn't have been better and there were no bugs so I would recommend May as a good month to travel to Alaska.

Days of relaxation at sea. Interesting sites ashore and warm warm weather. Lido Deck, and several 1st class shows (on par with Vegas) others somewhat amaturous Gratuities on top of gratuities. The $10.50 per diem per passenger is one thing but a 15% surcharge on all other purchases is over the top. Those passengers opting for fixed dining should remain with their chosen schedule and not move to the convenience of "anytime" dining as the result is up to 1 hour delays to enter the dining room and missed evening shows. We also found offshore excursions to be as interesting and sometimes more inclusive at 1/3 the cost when taken independently from Cruise sponsored excursions. The cost of Cruising is somewhat deceitful as the industry is more creative than Banks in finding new ways to fee services.

It would have been nice to have had a smaller bed and a couch and coffee table instead. Also the shower was much too smalll and that is a comment we heard many times. Unfortunately, Noroviirus hit the ship and John was confined to his cabin for 4 days but that was something that could not be avoided and many people suffered as well as him. Overall, tho', we loved the cruise, especially the southern portion of it. Helen.

Having a balcony, never had one before ,have booked one again for my next cruise. Also "Anytime Dining", this way I met different wonderful people who added to the enjoyment of my cruise. Going through the Panama Canal. Nothing much except having to pay for ice cream cones by the pool and plain coffee at the Patisserie. (I agree for extras for fancy coffees). To me this in nickle & diming. Can't understgand why you charge $1.50 for ice cream , and $1.00 for coffee after passengers pay thousands of dollars for their trip, I must compliment Princess for their efficient manner in which the Swine Flu & Gastero-eneritis issues were handled on this cruise.

seeing all the different ports princess cruise was good service, disappointed did not go to Mexico,it was well decorated and had some unique shops and bars, really good waiters and staff very friendly and helpful, restricted smoking area was very pleasant as we are none smokers, we have a problem with our billing onship board acct as the US Mastercard has been debited with a Canadian amt thus incurring a larger expense on the MC account we have email Princess with the problem, also want to let the Captain and crew know that they did an outstanding job in containing the Norovirus well done

Countries visited, crew, new friends from all over. Quality of entertainment and friendly staff.Overall efficiency of the crew with debarkation/embarkation. While the overall experience was great, there were some glitches with respect to dining experiences in the Dining room such as inconsistant service and also variation in quality of food.Sabatini's was a delightful experience, while the Bayou was mediocre. Our "cabin girl" Esperanza , was a delight and couldn't do more to make sure we were well looked after. We felt that the "at sea days" were a little too much (10 in total) and as such will probably keep our cruises to 7-10 days in the future.Overall a great experience.

Stateroom Aloah 401 gets absolutely no sun as the 14th floor deck overhangs also there was a ladder in our view making it impossible to get camera shots. Neighbour smoked on balcony, not sure if this was allowed, but being a reformed smoker, I had no choice but to go inside my cabin everytime he went out on his. I would never travel again on Easter / spring break as kids ran up and down halls, making noises, throwing water balloons on upper decks and generally were unattended for long periods of time. I found the Island Princess had more events that required additional payments - 2 restaurants and sanctuary. Overall my trip was great, ship's staff are excellent, the ship was very clean, food was excellent as were the shows. The shore excursions were well organized and enjoyed everyone of them however found some didn't deliver the quality for the amount of money spent, nonetheless, they were well run and fun. Improvements.....One side of the ship's rooms designed for smokers - the port side had designated smoking areas I would suggest that smoking cabins be on the port side as well or at least at the back of the ship so smoke is downwind. Kids should be appropriately supervised by parents and not allowed to run freely. Rooms on deck plans should be advised of obstructions of view.

The Island Princess is a great ship. I travelled to Alaska on it a few years ago. The Panama Canal is pretty impressive. Another ship was transitting the locks next to us and it made it much easier to understand exactly what was happening to our own ship. Having a balcony for this part of the trip was well worthwhile. The ship had introduced an entirely new menu beginning with our sailing. I did not personally find the overall selection as plentiful as I have in the past but the food was very good and I certainly could not complain about the servicings. I found the service in the dining rooms lacking/somewhat slow at times during breakfast and dinner compared to other cruises. Perhpas this is an area that could be improved upon. I especially, however, enjoyed the cuisine and service in the Bayou Cafe. Overall, the crew and staff were friendly and helpful with few exceptions. I especially enjoyed the evening entertainment -- whether it was a big show in the Princess Theatre or something simpler in the lounges around the ship, especially the Crooners Lounge. The daily drinks/martinis were something to look forward to. The quality of the performers was excellent. The show put on by the crew was especially memorable -- the talent was unbelievable. The head waiter of the Bordeaux restaurant has the most incredible singing voice, while the head waiter of the Provence restaurant was very comedic. The Cooking Competition held on the last day of the cruise was hilarious.

The best part was being able to share this experience with our parents.Seeing one of the wonders of the world was very exciting. Our room steward was very friendly and made our trip so much better with his cheerful greetings and his hard work keeping our rooms prefect !And of course all the fine dining was too good .The only thing that was a problem was the tours in which ALL the groups were taken to the same spots and at almost the same times and pushed to shop at those stores. It was over crowded and being pushed on you to buy from them and them only. We will cruise with Princess again but will think twice about doing group tours again.

THIS IS WAS OUR THIRD TIME ON THE ISLAND PRINCESS..OUR FAVORITE SHIP IN THE PRINCESS FLEET !!!! WE LOVED THE SHIP, THE CREW, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, WE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, EVEN BETTER THAN THE STAR & CARIBBEAN PRINCESSES, AND THE SHIP WAS EXTREMELY CLEAN...WE REALLY LIKED THAT. I DON'T THINK WE CAME ACROSS ANYONE WHO WAS NOT WITHOUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACE, AND TERRIFIC SERVICE THROUGHOUT. EXCEPT FOR A BIT OF A LANGUAGE BARRIER IN THE DINING ROOM WHEN ORDERING BREAKFAST, THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL. WE WOULD DEFINATELY DO THE ISLAND AGAIN ....AND REQUEST THE SAME CABIN, IT WAS THE BEST INSIDE AND LARGEST CABIN WE HAVE EVER HAD !!!!! CUDO'S TO PRINCESS ~~~~~

THIS IS OUR FOURTH TIME ON THE ISLAND PRINCESS, OUR FAVORITE IN THE PRINCESS FLEET. WE DID A WONDERFUL 18 DAY PANAMA CANAL CRUISE, WITH TWO OTHER COUPLES. EVERYTHING ON THIS SHIP, WAS SIMPLY OUTSTANDING, AND THE FOOD, THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD ON ALL MY 16 CRUISES !!!!!!! PUBLIC AREAS WERE SPOTLESS, ENTERTAINMENT WAS GREAT, AND THE SERVICE FROM STAFF, WAS SUPERB. WE HAD THE BEST INSIDE CABIN WE HAVE EVER HAD..( KEEPING THAT NUMBER A SECRET), AND OUR STEWARD WAS AWESOME. WE LOVE THE ISLAND, AND WOULD DEFINATELY RETURN TO HER AGAIN FOR FUTURE CRUISING. WE CANNOT THINK OF ONE THING WE DISLIKED ABOUT OUR TRIP, WE ( AND OUR FELLOW CRUISERS)...WERE BLOWN AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BARB & ED BOULTER

The best thing about our cruise was the excursions that we too. All were very well guided and history learned about the different cities was exceptional. Of course the transit through the Panama Canal was very interesting. The most memoravle thing about the ship is of course the excellent service that you get, no matter which area you choose to go to on the ship. Also the cleanliness and elegance is exceptional. The flights could definitely be improved, as we booked in June 2008, yet we had to sit at back of plane, and some parts of flight were booked with our seats ,aisles apart. I did manage to change thiis, as on embarkation day, we arrived at Fort Lauderdale airport at 10:30 am and our flight did not leave until 5:30 pm. We could not check our luggage until 3 hours before flight, so it meant sitting in front part of airport with nothing to do for many hours. While waiting I did manage to change seats so we could sit together. It seems when booked so far ahead of time that flight times could have been better.

The friendly staff. The dining room experience. Both the food and the outgoing staff. The various opitions on board the ship to select from. Having the photography department videotape and edit our informal renewal of vows for our 35th Weddking Anniversary. Our daughter and her husband were with us which made it extra special. Enjoying the Sanctuary. What a great idea and outstanding staff. See you next year in Alaska!

It was an excellent cruise. Itenerary was perfect, we had time to relax and explore the ports. In Aruba however we could stay a little longer in port as we were sailing out at 1:00PM that was a little early we had to rush. We liked our balcony cabin it was very convinient to seat there when we were leaving and take the last picture or have brekfast in the morning. We are very very satisfied with Princess Cruises they provided excellent service the only thing they could improve on was entertainment it was ok but we found better variety and longer shows on Carnival otherwise perfect cruise.

This is our second cruise. Our first cruise was on Celebrity. We travelled with another couple and had adjoining staterooms. Stateroom and balcony location were excellent. Four options for dining were very good. Activities at sea were varied and interesting. The enterainment was very good. The ship's staff were very helpful, pleasant and efficient at all times. Princess dropped one port without notice with no reason, which was disappointing. We should have, at least, been given an explanation. We had chosen the cruise with this destination in mind. Charging for ice cream and lattes unacceptable. Photos should be available in a variety of sizes for different prices, especially in this age of digital cameras.

, the trip was great. The rooms were smaller than I expected, but I'm sure that's because the ship size was smaller for the Panama Canal.

The best and most memorable thing was going through the Canal... it was incredible!!. I was a little disappointed in not being able to view what was in front of the ship while cruising through the beginning of the canal. My husband got up early so that we could have perfect seats in the Horizon dining room but the windows were so dirty on the outside that you couldn't take pictures of the event ( you could see through but not take pictures)so I went up on deck and tried to get the best view I could but so were hundreds of other people. People were climbing on railing to get a view. Someone suggested some type of raised seating so that more people could see and be safer. On the sides of the ship the upper decks also have like a clear plastic so you have to take pictures between the breaks in the plastics for best results. The best spot we found when going through the canal was on the balcony and although we didn't have a balcony we met someone who did so we spend the balance of the afternoon watching from their balcony. For anyone taking this cruise I would strongly suggest getting a room with a balcony or at least a window. We had an inside cabin and although the room was fine... after 10 days it got depressing not having a window. The dining was fine but I had requested 1st seating and I guess because I booked late, we were given "any time seating" Which worked out fine but it didn't have the same memorable moments as fixed seating. An example being that fixed seating had special events such as the head waiter making special desserts which we heard about at breakfast/lunch from other passengers and when I inquired about special desserts for "any time seating" I was told that it wasn't done because people came and went to different times but through our 10 day cruise most of the people that came at 530pm came about the same time every night and we had several occassions where we sat with the same people, so I did feel slighted by that response. The service by all the waiters was great. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The public areas are beautiful and well looked after.

Best thing & most memorable - transit of the Panama Canal. What could be Improved - not notified that Huatulco was no longer on the itinerary, became a sea day. Stay in Panama was only 3 hours - all tours cancelled. Second change in itinerary, no notice or explanation given.

The food has really went downhill from the first time we cruised with Princess. I overheard many passengers saying the food could be improved. It was mediocre at best. We only had one meal that we thought we could say was really good. I certainly would not recommend cruising for the dining experience. That was probably my biggest disappointment. Also, the price of the drinks are outrageous. Princess is duty free on the ocean and they charge horrendous prices. Also, they charged for coffee if you didn't drink it in the dining rooms. I thought that was very poor for customer relations. I can see charging for special coffees but not regular. It seems once you are on board it is time for charging for everything - don't expect any freebies except the food. The cabin was very nice and we had a great steward. I plan on trying a different cruise line next time. This is our second mediocre experience with Princess and I hear some pretty great things about other cruise lines. I really questioned a lot of passengers on this ship and they recommend Royal Carribean and Holland America. This was our fourth Princess Cruise and we cruised Carnival once.

At the start of our cruise staff was disorganized in the dining room.Talking very loud amongst themselves not being very discret. Specialty restaurants are not worth the extra cost. Staff were rushing the service. Very senior orientated cruise . Best thing about the cruise-ports of calls.

The ship the cruise was a great and it was very relaxing. Once we formed a routine the time went by fast. The availability of food and quantity was great but I missed my spicy food and although it was provided in the dining room it was not tasty. The outings were a bit expensive and the availability of drinks at high mark up detracts one from drinking even occasionally. I think fizzy soft drinks should be provided for limited time at lunch and dinner from a fountain. The stateroom and service was very timely and well done. The entertainment on stage was ok and there was more razzle dazzle but noise but talent was ok. I would take another cruise. The dining room service and ambience was great and for those liking such service it would be a great experiece. Raman Chauhan

Best things: Choice of detination, Security,Service, Organization, Princess Patter Memorable thing: Service, layout quality of food Improvement;Transmisson of information/direction when required to inform the crowd( direction when gathering for disembarkation for tours and on the last day). Instead of broadcastring the directions at different intervals and to the whole group, the staff was repeating the directions individually to passengers as htey were asking .

The ship itself was terrific, however, once we disembarked things went from bad to worse. It was almost as if we werent cared about at all once we left the ship, yet all travel arrangements to and from the cruise were part of the package. That was most disappointing. From the chaos at the Acapulco airport (which included standing in a line for several sweaty hours because no one knew anything about the charter) to the gongshow known as Air Canada in LA.....making a simple journey home into a ridiculous 60 hour affair. Absolutely horrendous. All the stress eased away by the cruise came back tenfold in two days. As well, Ochos Rios (despite the beauty of Dunns River Falls) is a horrible place. The Jamaican's are money mongers and rude. I'll never go back to Jamaica because of that. Plus side, Canopy Tour in Costa Rica and Panama Canal were both very enjoyable. Just too many "bad" points on this trip to give excellent ratings. And to think we could have flown directly from LA to Edmonton too, versus having to go to Vancouver first then change planes to go to Edmonton....well....it was just more difficult than it needed to be.

This is a very busy time of year to cruise and the crew/staff did not seem prepared for the volume or demographics of passengers. I was absolutely disgusted that babies in diapers were in all the pools and hot tubs, INCLUDING the "supposed" Adult Only pool and hot tub and the staff had no control over this. I can't imagine what they would have done had there been a serious incident. The staff was overwhelmed and under motivated. I would never recommend a Princess Cruise. Their flight planning was horrific.

The whole learning experience especially at the Panama Canal and in Costa Rica. The service offered to handicapped people as well as the room service and the meals. Memorable thing : meeting all kinds of people in a friendly atmosphere . To be improved : getting our luggages a little faster although we undersdand the time necessary to reach all the floors as we were located on the 12 th one !!! The overall cruise experience was very memorable. The ship was kept in excellent condition and was extremly clean. Overall service from the crew was very good. The only down side was the travell back from Ft. Lauderdale with Air Canada. It was not a good experience, although this was in no way the fault of Princess Cruises.

Check-in and all on trip arrangements very well organized. Excellent ports of call & tour opportunities. Food was average in both dining room and buffet. Ships crew provided great service, friendly, attentive. Entertainment was below average, bar entertainmnet, production shows etc. Would prefer an all-inclusive option, seemed to be nickle and dimed for everything!

IIt would be difficult to pick a 'best thing' as we were very pleased with the cruise. The hotel accommodation was excellent, transfers handled very well and our accommodation onboard was everything we hoped for, from the location to the room itself. One of the best features for us was the 'wrap around' verandah, while small it made the viewing of the Canal just super. All of the crew went out of their way to help when I had difficulties getting around and our dining room stewards were exceptional, Mirela and her assistant Chakkrit obviously enjoy their job. This was our first experience with Princess and we wouldn't hesitate to travel with them again. The food was excellent, both in the dining room as well as the buffets, with ample staff to assist everyone. One downside, and this was not the ship itself but was handled by Princess, was the Air portion of the trip - I didn't feel there was enough time allowed between flights for unforeseen circumstances such as the snowstorm in Salt Lake City that had us scrambling to make connections. Another problem was our Shore Excursion in Jamaica - we picked one that would be suitable with very little walking but it was quite the opposite and made for a very uncomfortable outing for both my husband and I. They should reconsider their rating process. We appreciated the notice from Princess when we arrived in our stateroom about the Shore Excursion we had booked for the Canal not being suitable for people with medical issues. After speaking with the Tour Director, we decided we should cancel.

Fabulous cruise!! The ship was beautiful and the stateroom storage was fantastic - exceeds any other cruise ship I have experienced. Everything I heard about the caliber of entertainment onboard Princess Cruise Lines was true. Very professional and excellent in every way. The dancers were a joy to watch! Really enjoyed the Anytime Dining concept. Met a variety of people and now, I would not cruise any other way!! Thanks for a great time!

Going through the canal was the best part of the cruise. The entertainment was fantastic. We think that any time dining is great but don't believe we get the same level of service at the dinner table as we would if we were specific seating. Maybe the waiters feel they won't get additional tips so why try harder. The worst part was docking in Columbia. Totally caotic and not feeling very safe. There should be a free shuttle that goes further than the end of the pier and takes you to "old town" so you don't have to go through being accosted by taxi and van operators and not knowing what's safe and what isn't. Also, we are presently dealing with Princess direct on getting our stateroom account sorted out. Even though we talked to several people with the cruise ship about our Visa credit card being issued by a canadian bank in US dollars and being assured it would be charged correctly, they still converted our balance to candian dollars and then charged it through our US Visa. Princess has indicated to us it is an ongoing problem but don't have a solution. This same problem has happened to us on previous cruises. We are confident it will get sorted out.

Everything about the Cruise was 'AMAZING'. The staff were wonderful and always spoke to you with a smile. The food was extroadinary. The most memorable thing was being able to experience a Cruise for the first time and it was 'Awesome'. I would certainly like to be able to go again. This Cruise was done in respect for my Dad as he served in the 'Merchant Navy'and always spoke about the Panama Canal. I cried going through the Canal thinking of him the whole time and certainly did not want to get off the ship at the end of my 14 days. As for any improvements, getting off in Fort Lauderdale for seniors to pick-up luggage and have no help or carts to take it to the Coaches is a long haul. There was smoking on the Promenade Deck which was okay except for people that didn't smoke and sat on that side and complained to people that smoked to go elsewhere. They should move not the smokers. I am not one to tell them to move but others didn't hesitate too. I paid for my trip to enjoy just like they did. I am hoping to take a Cruise with Princess to Alaska next July as I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Thankyou so much, for such a wonderful Trip' Island Princess Cruise Lines,' Yours Truly, Roberta Jean Jones

The best and most memorable thing about the ship would be the excellent service from our room steward to our waiter each and every day. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only thing I would improve would be the mattress on my bed. I found it uncomfortable. The pillows were lumpy but they were quickly replaced with feather ones, which were a great improvement. Over all, I would definitely cruise again with Princess.

The best thing was seeing the glaciers in Glacier Bay. It would have been nice to be able to take pictures on deck without having to shoot through glass. Another ship we have been on has much more open deck space, especially at the front of the ship. It would have been nice to have an alternate cold beverage in the Horizon Court rather than ice tea every day. Also, it would have been nice to have tea pots available. Your Canadian travellers prefer using a tea pot rather than dunking the teabag in a cup of hot water.

Best thing: Entertainment was best of 6 cruising experiences, first on Princess. Most memorable: staff Improved: Be sure land people and places are still on deck, so to speak, in the last of the season. Danali's sled-dog exhibit was closed and the park welcome station too. A good number of Princess staff at Danali lodge and Fairbans Princess Lodge were looking forward to going home and vocalized it. I felt I was keeping them back.

Service was excellent. Accomodiation was excellent. The only thing that bothered me was the cafeteria, reminded me of high school.

One of the highlights of the cruise for me was the guests that came on board to share their experiences. It really helped to make the Alaska experience come to life. I'm referring to Libby Riddles, naturalist Alan Cortash and Steve Hites "North to Alaska". The entertainment in the Princess Theatre each night was great and of course the meals delicious. One suggestion my husband , myself and our travelling companions had was this: The dining room has a different theme night each night. The last night that is American, with red, white and blue could be somewhat altered, here's our idea. Have an assortment of flags(small that could be placed on each table)that guests can pick up as they go to their table. We always feel kind of left out as Canadians and I'm sure other countries do as well. I think it would be a thoughtful gesture.

The food and entertainment. The shows. Not much, a little more activity for younger people and if the prices could have been a little less for the drinks. Overall, Loved it.

This cruise far exceeded our expectations. Although we spent more money on board than we expected (too many varieties of martinis to try), we still had fun. Probably the most memorable thing about our trip was getting the navigational chart that was auctioned off on our last day at sea. That is the most amazing souvenir we could have of our trip. And of course the breathtaking scenery of Alaska was amazing. It is impossible to take a bad picture in Alaska. Even the weather was exceptional for that time of year. Overall, this was one of the best vacations we've been on.

Some tours were not worth the money. We really wanted to spend the day in Puerto Vallarta and because of the hurricane somewhere ahead of us our day was cancelled all together. All staff were just excellent and went out of their way to make our cruise memorable.

The best things about the cruise - food, weather, relaxed atmosphere Most memorable - Glacier Bay To improve - disembarkation at the end of the cruise, especially for those needing wheelchairs

It was a wonderful first cruise for the whole family. Princess definitely takes care of you and everyone on staff greets you pleasantly. Everyone wants to make sure you are enjoying your time and doing what you want to do. I would recommend it to
